Home Fitness is Time and Cost Efficient

Being in good health and top physical condition is a goal that many people have. Many people believe that in order to be in good shape they need to join a gym and spend a lot of time there. I do not believe that to be true. People can get in good shape at home. They can also get in better health without wasting a lot of time.

It is good that the people who become health club members are making the efforts to exercise but they are not making as good of use of their time as they could.

Consider this situation the gym is 20 minutes away from your house. You will need to spend 20 minutes each direction, to the gym and another 20 minutes driving home from the gym. While at the gym you will likely have to waste some time waiting your turn on equipment. A person can easily spend one hour at the gym. Adding up the travel time to and from the gym and the time at the gym we have a total time of one hour and forty minutes. When I exercise at home I am done in 10 to 20 minutes. I have saved myself one hour and thirty minutes. When I exercise at home four times a week instead of driving to and from a gym I have given myself an extra six hours a week.

Six hours a week adds up to over 24 extra hours a month. Twenty-four hours a month will add up to 315 extra hours a year of time each and every year. I can get a lot of important things done with an extra 315 hours a year. If you value your time at only twenty dollars an hour then you saved yourself from wasting over six thousand dollars worth of your valuable time. Working out at home is definitely the most time efficient way to stay healthy.

Since I just mentioned money and the value of your and my time lets explore a bit more in to the money factor. If the membership to a local health club was fifty dollars every month then the yearly cost would add up to six hundred. When we add up the yearly membership fee along with the cost of your time, your joining a health club or gym will cost you nearly seven thousand dollars a year. Please note that the cost of the gasoline used while driving back and forth was not even mentioned in this calculation.

That is why I recommend finding an exercise program that you can do at home. Note only will it save you lots of money, it will also save you lots of time. With all that extra time and money you can do special things with your family or for yourself.
